03/14/2011 - The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering NSF-funded REU Site has been recommeded for funding for its eighth consecutive year. Under the on-going leadership of Drs. Deepa Kundur (PI), Karen Butler-Purry (co-PI) and Takis Zourntos (Ethics Leader) the REU Site, upon official renewal, will focus on a new theme of Smart Energy and Smart Systems. Other participating faculty include Drs. Robert Balog, Jose Silva-Martinez, Haiyan Wang and Le Xie. As of 04/05/11, the REU award was officially granted.

04/01/2011 - Our application process is now closed. We have received a record number of applications for our REU program this year. We thank everyone who supported this program and who helped in spreading the word of our REU Site. We are currently in the selection phase and information will be coming soon to those who applied.

05/31/2011 - We are happy to announce the start of our REU program.
