A. L. Narasimha Reddy


Narasimha Reddy received his B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, in August 1985, and the M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 1987 and August 1990 respectively.

He is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A & M University. During 1990-1995, he worked as a research staff member at IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose where he was involved in the design of topology-independent multiprocessor communication switches, disk arrays, hierarchical storage management and video servers.

Reddy's research interests are in I/O systems, Multimedia systems, Parallel Processing, and Computer Architecture. Currently, he is directing the design of a high-performance storage system using a network of workstations.

Reddy is a member of IEEE Computer Society and ACM.
