About me:

I got my Ph.D from Stanford University in June of 2005. From August of 2005 to May of 2007, I worked in the ECE department at the University of Arizona as an Assistant Professor. Since June of 2007, I have been working in the ECE department at the Texas A&M University, now as an Associate Professor. I'm always interested in recruiting students who have degrees in EE, control, math, or physics and are enthusiastic about signal processing, wireless communications, networking, or information theory. If you want to know more about me, check my CV.

PostDoc Openings in Information Theory and Network Science

Research:

I have a wide range of interests in communication systems and signal processing. I have been working on communication/information theory, networking, statistical signal processing, as well as some software/hardware co-design projects. My current research is about:

  • Statistical signal processing in sensor networks;
  • Network modeling and network information theory;
  • Energy efficiency of wireless networks and systems;
  • Signal processing and control for Smart Grid;
  • Cognitive radio networks;
  • Design synergy between hardware and system software;
  • Application of convex optimization in communication system design and signal processing;

      Research grant awards: NSF grant awards and DoD grant awards

      My research lab:

  • Wireless Networking and Communication Laboratory (WNCL)

    Office Hours: 2:00pm-4:00pm, Friday. I'm open to discussions related to research or any other interesting topics. If you want to meet me at a different time slot, please send me emails to make an appointment beforehand.
